Raiffeisenbank is clear market leader in Serbia after only three years According to official data recently published by the National Bank of Serbia, Raiffeisenbank Raiffeisenbank has granted loans to large corporations, small and medium sized companies, entrepreneurs and private individuals in the amount of € 521 million, which is € 180 million more than second-ranked Delta banka. With almost € 720 million in collected deposits, Raiffeisenbank is € 183 million ahead of Delta banka, which ranks again on the second position in this segment. Raiffeisenbank is a subsidiary of Raiffeisen International Bank-Holding AG (Raiffeisen International), ten per cent are held by International Finance Corporation (IFC). It started operations in the summer of 2001, currently runs 23 branches and employs a staff of 800. Raiffeisen International is a fully consolidated subsidiary of Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG (RZB) and a member of the RZB Group. Minority interest is held by IFC and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).RZB is the central institution of the Raiffeisen Banking Group, Austria's most powerful banking group. It is a leading corporate and investment bank in Austria and also considers Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) as its home market, where it operates, via Raiffeisen International, a network of 15 subsidiary banks with more than 820 banking outlets, as well as two representative offices, in 16 markets. After only three years of operations, Raiffeisenbank has already managed to outperform all other local banks. Raiffeisenbank's balance-sheet total currently amounts to € 802 million, thereby exceeding runner-up Delta banka by € 125 million and third-ranked Komercijalna banka by € 200 million. The second-largest foreign-owned bank, Société Générale, is more than € 500 million behind.
